Sports and Entertainment

The sports facilities in both winter and summer are excellent. The children are very well catered for with ski schools for all abilities.

In winter there is ski-ing to suit all abilities, snow-boarding, cross-country ski-ing, ice skating and parapenting. There is also a specially set aside ‘snow- bowl’ area for snow-boarders.

Several forms of entertainment, are laid on including ‘animation’ , concerts,  ice-hockey, slalom and snow games.

Skis, boots and many other items of equipment can be hired from one of the many sports shops in both villages.

In summer there is a fabulous swimming complex set in beautiful scenery, large trampoline and acrobatics complex as well as mountain biking and hiking. The main ski lift will take both bikers and walkers up the mountain for this purpose.

It is well worth the trip just for the fantastic scenery and to take in the myriad of alpine flowers on the mountainside and the cows with their musical bells! Bikes can be hired in the villages.

In addition there are often many forms of entertainment laid on in the villages, including concerts, sports events and street entertainment.

There is a ‘Harlequin’ club for the children, (aged 4 to 12 years) from the 3rd July until the 18th August, and a nursery for infants from 3 months.

There is a cinema in Chinaillon itself.
